I WILL TELL International Film Festival has been held for the past 15 years in London, and has been established as a platform for celebrating untold stories that challenge perspectives and catalyse change.
The 16th Annual I WILL TELL International Film Festival is a spectacular hybrid event running Thursday July 7th – 16th . The festival opens at the BFI, Southbank and continues at the Tabernacle, Notting Hill and closes at the Prince Charles Cinema, Leicester Square. Screenings and Q&As are available to livestream throughout the festival. The in-person events cover 7th - 10th July and 14 th - 16th July
The Opening Gala at the BFI is the premiere of CLOCK which will have a second screening at Prince Charles Cinema. This British urban coming of age story directed by Lola Atkins.
This is followed by Premiere screenings at the Tabernacle, Notting Hill to include a short film collection, the documentary Send Proof and the biopic Remember Me: The Mahalia Jackson Story.
In addition to Screenings, Q&As and after-parties, special events include the Festival’s Community Day – an all-day event with outdoor screenings from 11 am to 11 pm showcasing some old favourites as well as new films from around the world on Portobello Green.
The entire closing weekend of the festival will be held at the Prince Charles Cinema, in particular one of the festival highlights is the CLOSING PEACE GALA and Premiere of SLOVO HOUSE: UNFINISHED NOVEL, a challenging Ukrainian epic on the relationship between authority, power and creativity. Speakers for the Q&A for this event include the Filmmakers, the Ukrainian Ambassador and representatives from countries around the world with underreported crises.
I Will Tell features World Premieres as well as classic favorites from around the globe and presents dramatic features, documentaries, animated, and short films. Screenings are followed by post-screening discussions with filmmakers, subject matter experts and global icons.
