National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Invention for Innovation (i4i) MedTech Showcase Event

Accelerating the translation of UK medtech innovation into the NHS and the wider market for increased patient benefit.

Join us on Friday 5th April 2019 at the NatWest Bishopsgate Conference Centre in London to listen to some of today’s UK most disruptive medtech technologies.

This free event will offer the opportunity to listen to exciting medtech innovations, supported by the i4i Programme, that could influence the health future of UK medtech and network with the entrepreneurs, investors, the i4i team and a number of stakeholders who catalyse and spread innovation in the healthcare and medtech ecosystem.

The i4i Programme

The NIHR i4i Programme invests in disruptive early-stage medtech technologies to accelerate the translation of innovation into the NHS and the wider market for increased patient benefit. We support collaborative projects that involve SMEs, universities and the NHS, with strong management teams and a clear commercial pathway towards adoption. Our aim is to de-risk technologies to make them attractive to follow-on funders and private investors.

The team manages an investment of £120m+ into a portfolio of 174 projects, growing on average by £15m and 25 projects per annum. The portfolio has had two IPOs in the last 18 months, raising a combined value in excess of £190m and our companies have secured in excess of £94m from the VC community.
