Girls Who Code programs are an innovative approach to computer science education that pair intensive instruction in robotics, web design, and mobile development with high-touch mentorship and exposure led by the industry's top female engineers and entrepreneurs.
In 2020, there will be 1.4 million computing jobs available in the US. If current graduation rates persist, women will fill just 0.04% of these jobs. Girls Who Code is committed to changing this by inspiring, educating, and equipping 3,000 young women in 2014 to pursue computer science in academics and professionally.
