Small Banqueting Room, Morley Town Hall
Ian Clayton has led writing workshops for over thirty years and is the author of more than fifty books. He has worked at every level of education from infant schools to university departments. In recent years he has been visiting scholar in creative writing at Changchun University in China.
He believes that good stories start anywhere and at any time and that the best stories have a strong sense of place, that they live and breathe in the community, just like their tellers and writers. His own stories are about making sense of where we are from and how this then compares to where someone else is from. Ian’s writing workshops thrive on turning the spoken word into a piece of written work.
The workshop welcomes experienced writers and new writers alike.
