Event description

Description

Building on the success of prior iBEE events, this year’s overarching conference theme is ‘Learning Matters', extremely topical in the light of the emphasis being placed on the Teaching Excellence Framework. This is an opportunity to showcase your innovations in relation to supporting student learning, to celebrate the achievements of your staff and to share this with colleagues from the UK and elsewhere.

The focus of iBEE 2017 will be on building a community of Built Environment Education Practitioners through networking, CPD and acquiring fresh ideas about learning and teaching in built environment higher education The conference will include a range of keynote speakers and formal presentations, with ample time for workshops and constructive conversations to facilitate exchange of views and deepening understanding of the issues that challenge those engaged in learning and assessment.

On the Wednesday evening prior to the main conference proceedings there will be a free guided walking tour of historic Birmingham followed by a pay-as-you-go supper at a local restaurant.

We look forward to seeing you in Birmingham in September 2017.

Accommodation: Preferential rate of £103.00 per night, inc. breakfast has been secured at Hotel La Tour for conference delegates only. Hotel La Tour is a short 5 min walk to the main Curzon Building. Please quote 'BCU' upon booking.
