Event description
Get ready to party as Ibiza Chill 2020 makes its first time ever Molesey appearance.

About this Event

Hi There. I am Danny, and I am the organiser of Ibiza Chill House. I am organising this and other Ibiza Chill House Events because, above all, I love these events and want others to experience the fun it was when I arranged this near where I live, for the first time last summer.

What makes this occasion so special, is that you can bring your children with you, they will have as much fun as you and, for a change, the content of the afternoon is something you will really appreciate.

By the end of the afternoon all the adults and kids dancing together to the best House anthems of all time.

Can't wait to see you at this truly unique occasion. Danny

MORE EVENT DETAIL

THE EVENT

At the event, we will be setting up a raised stage, an impressive sound system, themed lighting and, to top it all, a backdrop of a spectacular LED Video Wall, displaying footage of scenes from Ibiza. The DJs will be accompanied by some top class musicians, including Sax, Percussion and Flute .

In addition to the usual Bar Service, The Venue is planning to offer Martinis, Prosecco and Sangria from additional bars within the grounds. In addition you can also enjoy a selection of Gins and Pornstar Martinis.

Various Food Options will be available and we have arranged for a few stalls offering Pop Corn, Candy Floss, Strawberries & Cream, Festival Glitter, Photo Booth and more.

THE MUSIC

Of course, it is the music that is central to the afternoon. Guests can use the seating available in the garden or even bring blankets to sit or lay down on, on the grass areas in front of the stage.

We are expecting people of all ages, some with families too, to enjoy a chilled out music filled afternoon.

Although we haven’t got the beach or the pool, the music will take you wherever your imagination allows.

IBIZA CHILL HOUSE MUSIC PROGRAMME

In the spirit of landmarks such as Cafe Del Mar, Nassau or Nikki Beach, the set will kick off with a wide range of world music and chilled vibes. Gradually the musical journey will visit latin and soulful sounds. The tempo will begin increasing, building the atmosphere for a set of some current and better known dance tracks. Eventually everyone will be brought to their feet for the best loved Ibiza dance classics from over the past decades.

Children can also choose to hire silent disco headphones with three options of alternative music styles.

THE PERFORMERS....

Brandon Block

Early life

Block was born in London. At the age of four, he moved to Wembley along with his mother, who still lives there today. Block's career started out in 1985 at the John Lyon pub in Harrow, Middlesex. According to Block himself, "My friends and I used to buy a lot of funk and soul (the sound at the time) and one night the DJ there didn't show, so me and my then DJ Lewis asked the governor if we could bring the records down and do it. We were so good that he fired the DJ. In fact, it got so popular that they started charging an entrance fee”

Life and career

In 1988, his first club residency was at ZigZag at the Broadway Boulevard in Ealing, West London. Whilst there, he met Dean Thatcher (best known as a founder member of techno/house act The Aloof) and started up his own night called Haven Stables, which ran until 1991. The previous year, he went to Ibiza for the first time with the record label he was working for at the time. During his time, he has also held residencies at Up Yer Ronson in Leeds, FUBAR at the Milk Bar in London, Club For Life in London, and Scream in Plymouth. He has also played numerous other venues such as the Ministry of Sound, Turnmills, Miss Moneypenny's, Republica, Progress, Karanga and Colours. Several appearances on BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix show appeared.

In 1996, Block was experiencing problems in his private life His lifestyle was taking its toll on his health. He then sought help and, in October 1996, entered the Capio Nightingale Hospital in Lisson Grove, where he met the man to whom he credits with saving his life.

In 2009, Block agreed to take part in an anti-drugs campaign for the government. He revealed that back in 1996 he had picked up illnesses including a lung infection (which necessitated a portion being removed) and hepatitis, and said that doctors had told him to change his life immediately – otherwise, he would have "two weeks to live" Speaking in 1997 about this, he said of detox: "It's been hard. You have to make a decision. Make it and then there’s no going back." He now has undertaken numerous training courses including City & Guilds in Health & Social Care, Smart Recovery (Train the Trainer), Life Coaching, Goal Mapping Practitioner, Stress Management Society (Train the Trainer) to date.

From 2010 until 2015, he worked with Blenheim the London drug and alcohol treatment service as a project worker. From January 2016, he took on a job as a project worker for the NHS, working with people who have multiple complex needs. This was a 12 month pilot which received rave reviews.[

From 2017 to the present day, he has been showcasing inspirational people who have made dramatic and significant changes in the face of adversity, via Facebook live interviews and by using his Facebook page creation 'Happy Days for Everyone'. He now works as a Stress Management and Goal Mapping Coach with various agencies and services to improve peoples lives and raise awareness around mental health issues.

During detox, he was forced to take six months off from the DJ circuit in 1996. As his health improved the following year, so did his fortunes. In October 1997, he became a radio presenter alongside his old friend Alex P, presenting a show on Kiss 100.

Later, he had three singles released under his Blockster alias – "Something Goin' On", "Grooveline" and "You Should Be..", all of which were released by Ministry of Sound. "You Should Be..." was a remix of "You Should Be Dancing" by the Bee Gees, and reached number 3 in the UK Singles Chart in January 1999, and "Grooveline", which sampled "The Groove Line" by Heatwave, reached number 18 in July 1999.[5]

In 2005, he appeared on the chatshow Heads Up with Richard Herring to discuss his life, career, anti-semitism, and his love of poker.[citation needed]

In September 2006, Block was on Five's reality television show Trust Me - I'm A Holiday Rep. He formerly, between 2000 and 2001, presented Brandon Block's Video Hits on Rapture TV.[citation needed]

On 13 January 2007, Block appeared on The Weakest Link Music Extravaganza Edition. He was the second to be voted off.[citation needed]

Block also hosted a show alongside fellow DJ and friend Alex P on MTV Dance, where they toured Ibiza interviewing clubbers from around the island, and played the latest dance videos.

On 21 June 2012, Block featured as the entertainment for one of the guests on Channel 4's Come Dine with Me.

On 3 January 2017, Block entered the Celebrity Big Brother house. He voluntarily left the house on Day 10.

Jay On Drums ... Percusion

I spent my childhood learning drum rudiments with my Father and spent most weekends practising in the studio and being his ‘Roadie’ helping him set up his drum kit at his gigs! Watching, listening, tapping feet on the floor, my fingers on glasses, the school desk – (School Report “Jay is a great student but he must stop tapping!”) and practising every day & night at the dinner table table with the knives, forks & spoons! Sorry Mum!

My entire adulthood has evolved around the development of Jayondrums. Performing in bars, clubs, restaurants, private parties, wedding celebrations and corporate events for people all over London the UK, Europe, Asia, Russia, USA and the magical isle of Ibiza.

I have worked alongside many of the worlds best DJ’s, Record Producers, Recording Artists, Sound Engineers, Musicians and been on tours with the Ministry of Sound & Hed Kandi.

I even got to play to royalty at ‘Pippa & James’ wedding in 2017 with Kaleidisco – the international ‘DJ Live Show Band’

My positive vibrations have been heard on top of mountains, on islands, beaches, in forests, in the snow, wind, rain & sunshine

and The experiences of every occasion have given me the skills to be able to work to a very high standard no matter what the occasion, location, or size.

DJ Danny

I’m freaking out. My ‘Half a century’ milestone has just passed and yet I am still performing as a DJ, since I was 14! That was 1981! My Dad still jokingly asks, ‘What do you plan to do when you grow up?’

I couldn’t have know then, how significant the late seventies and early eighties were as a time for becoming a DJ. I, like many other DJs of my generation, were perfectly positioned in time, to establish first hand knowledge of all music eras. Starting first listening to our own parents vinyl collections from the 50’s and 60’s and building on from them as the music constantly evolved. That can explain why many DJs of my age are still at it and still in high demand - in other words “I know my music and, as if I need to mention, music has always been, and always will be, my passion. I love to DJ.”

As you might expect, I have done my time in various clubbing destinations in Europe and performed the London Club Circuit. However, I guess I can be best characterised as a Corporate & Private Function DJ. With my years of experience, I can confidently claim to be among just a handful of DJs with the ability and versatility to satisfy a diverse range of audiences and events.

It is wonderful to see generation after generation of young DJ’s experiencing the passion and love of music as I did and embracing the ever evolving new technoligies and formats that allow DJ’s to play music. But the skill to be able to read a crowd, especially a crowd that is full of a diverse age range, cannot be purchased with the equipment. Whether a DJ is using turntables, cd’s, laptops or iPods - that skill is something you gain from experiance and that is what you get when I am given the responsibility of entertaining people looking to have the best time ever.
