- share personal and professional issues
- seek or explore ways of resolving any interpersonal challenges

- identify actions or design action plans relative to their individual challenge(s) and aspiration(s)
- develop their leadership capacity
The ICAS Masterminds Executive Coaching Programme is endorsed by ICAS and created by Leading Figures, a coaching consultancy that works with leaders in the finance and professional services sectors across the UK and abroad. The round table discussions will be facilitated by Russell Borland and Thomas Chalmers, both Executive Coaches and Partners of Leading Figures with backgrounds in financial services.
Numbers are limited to 8 members per group, participation is by invitation only and we invite you to join what will be a powerful and meaningful programme for participants.
Following attendance at the programme preview session participants will be invited to attend the ICAS Masterminds Executive Coaching Programme. The full programme includes four group sessions held over a 9-12 month period plus a transferable 1:1 Coaching Session to be taken any time up to 12 months after the first group session. (See FAQs below for further details). As well as facilitated, round table discussions the group sessions will also offer the opportunity for Leading Figures to share academic research as well as learning and development tools, insights and information on a variety of topics that may arise as being of interest to all participants.
Participants are invited to share thoughts, challenges and aspirations as well as offer questions, options or potential solutions in a mutually supportive peer environment. However, as the sessions are enshrined in confidentiality, such conversations are designed and intended to accelerate learning, development and growth.
The cost of the ICAS Masterminds Executive Coaching Programme is £1995 plus VAT (£2,394) paid in advance and in full.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Who is the ICAS Masterminds Executive Coaching Programme for?
Participants will be mid to senior level leaders such as C-Suite Executives and Partners as well as those with leadership roles and responsibilities heading up, for example, a practice area or division. Each Masterminds Group will include peers from different organisations or in the case of very large organisations, at the very least, from different geographies or practice areas/divisions. The primary objective is that everyone in the group is comfortable with their peers. Confidentiality is absolute.
Where will the sessions be held?
The venue for your programme sessions will be held in Allied Irish Bank, 26 Finsbury Square London EC2A 1DS
What will I be required to do at the preview session?
Other than introducing yourself, there is no requirement for you to do anything other than listen and observe. There will be opportunities to participate if you wish but the preview session is intended to provide you with an overview and insight of the programme.
How will the programme sessions work in practice?
The programme is largely based on the Action Learning Sets Model whereby groups (or sets) of 8 participants are invited to meet together in a confidential safe space, in this instance on a quarterly basis, to explore ways of understanding and solving their role challenges and aspirations. In similar programmes facilitated by Leading Figures in the past, topics have varied from, for example, general staff issues, culture and diversity to communication, driving change and how best to manage relationships with the board and other key stakeholders.
Sessions are structured insofar as 'air time' is given to those individuals who wish to share a challenge or aspiration while other members actively listen and then ask questions of the presenting participant(s). This has the effect of helping the presenters better understand and resolve their own issues.
The purpose is not to solve the other participants' problems but to help them find their own answers through effective questioning, reflection and, when appropriate, the suggestion of options. Issues raised should be of a general leadership/organisational/business nature and not require any technical or specialist knowledge from other participants.
All participants are charged with the responsibility of taking action and learning from the current session's discussions and encouraged to report back at the next session so that there is continuity and progress between meetings. Participants often report that they gain significant value from listening to the way their peers faced and dealt with difficult issues.
How much does the programme cost and what does it include?
The cost of the ICAS Masterminds Executive Coaching Programme is £995 (including VAT) paid in advance and in full (via Eventbrite). The programme includes four x 2 hour sessions (followed by open networking) held over a 9-12 month period and inclusive of a transferable 1:1 Coaching Session to be taken any time up to 12 months after the first programme session.
Can I attend the preview session and then opt out of the paid programme?
Yes. You are invited to the preview session with no obligation to apply for the Masterminds Programme. The preview session should give you an idea of what's involved and whether or not you are a good fit for the paid programme.
What do you mean by a transferable 1:1 Coaching Session?
The programme includes a 1:1 Coaching Session with one of the Leading Figures Partners/facilitators - either Russell Borland or Thomas Chalmers. The coaching session should be taken any time up to 12 months after the first programme session. However in the event that you already have a coach or do not wish to avail yourself of the session you may choose to transfer the 1:1 coaching session to a friend or colleague.
How many participants are there per group and what if the programme is oversubscribed?
ICAS Masterminds Groups are limited to 6-8 participants. Multiple groups will be formed to accommodate applicants up to a maximum of four groups (24-32 participants) per city centre location. Numbers and names beyond this limit will be placed on a waiting list. The preview session numbers maybe higher.
What else does the programme Offer?
Sessions include the opportunity for Leading Figures to share academic research as well as learning and development tools, insights and information on a variety of topics that may arise as being of interest to all participants such as: The promotions criteria that take leaders to the top; The latest research on High Performing Teams; Leadership styles and approaches; The distinction between Growth versus Fixed Mindsets; Emotional intelligence (and how a lack of Emotional Intelligence is the primary reason for career derailment amongst top executives); Interpersonal skills; Building resilience; Communication; and Assertiveness.
Between sessions participants will be encouraged to meet each other for 1:1 conversations.
