We invite you to join our online roundtable discussion on Intangible Cultural Heritage in the UK, specifically focusing on minority groups. By minority groups we are suggesting cross-cutting minorities, such as (but not limited to) those reflected in the protected characteristics, in order to allow for an additional space to discuss these areas that might not be covered in the regional and thematic roundtables.

This is one of a series of public roundtable discussions we are holding alongside the online consultation survey. We are keen to discuss some of the decisions regarding the first stage of implementing the 2003 UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage: specifically, to define and identify Intangible Cultural Heritage.

This online roundtable discussion is themed around minority groups. We invite anyone with an interest in this aspect of Intangible Cultural Heritage to join. We have a number of other themed discussions planned (see list below). You are welcome to register for whichever is most suited to your interests and/or availability, and welcome to join more than one discussion should you wish.

The first part of the session will be a presentation, then we will open up into a discussion, with a ten minute break halfway through.
