About this event
The ICS Future Leaders Placement is a bespoke placement opportunity for pre-registration nursing, midwifery and allied health professional students, to develop their leadership, communication and confidence.
This placement opportunity is open to all NMAHP students that are training within the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent locality.
All training is face-to-face and is a week long (Monday-Friday 9:00-17:00).
On completion of the ICS Future Leaders Placement, you will have your placement hours signed and be award a certificate.
By comitting to this placement, you are pledging to arrive on time, participate in activities and uphold the highest standards of professionalism. Failure to do so, may lead to the early termination of your placement.

This is open to NMAHP students of every year.
Please note this placement is a week long (Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00), despite only being able to book for the Monday via Eventbrite. By booking, you are committing to the full week of placement.
This is a strictly face-to-face placement to allow for optimal learning, engagement and participation.
If you are unable to attend this placement, please cancel via Eventbrite. If you are cancelling within 48 hours of the start of placement please also contact phillip.barnes@uhnm.nhs.uk and paul.firth@uhnm.nhs.uk

'Leadership styles', 'Conflict resolution', 'Wellbeing and resilience', 'Courage in the workplace', and 'Feedback', are some of the sessions that will be delivered during your placement.
Yes! You must let your hub (main) placement know that you wish to join this placement, and gain approval from them first. If you are not on a hub placement, please gain approval from your university. By booking onto this placement, you are acknowledging you have gained approval.
Yes, this placement counts towards your placement hours. We will sign your timesheet.
