A Tour through Germany`s famous Gem Town of Idar - Oberstein and it`s craftsmen
gem carving as an art form, like sculpture but smaller used for personal adornment since the dawn of time. This has always been done and has now developed to a very high standard due to modern technology and our Idar-Oberstein artists. There is also the question of skill/craftsmanship vs talent, they are so closely linked, but when are they separate, if ever?
