A festival of socialist ideas and leftwing discussion and debates about how the world works and how we can fight for a better one. Book now!

About this event

Socialism in the Age of Covid: A festival of socialist ideas and leftwing discussion and debates about how the world works and how we can fight for a better one.

Book here to attend in-person, at prices varying on how early you book or whether you're waged, low-waged or student, or unwaged.

You can also book to participate in online sessions that will be livestreamed on Zoom. For that, you can book a regular ticket (which helps pay the costs of putting on the event), at prices varying on how early you book or whether you're waged, low-waged or student, or unwaged; or an online-only ticket for £10 flat-rate. Book tickets for online attendance at bit.ly/iff-21-o

If you buy a regular-price online-only ticket in advance, but decide to come in person after all, that's fine! If you buy a cut-price £10 online-only ticket in advance, you can "trade up" to an in-person ticket at the price offered when you booked that online ticket.

Because of the uncertainties of covid restrictions, we will not plan a creche or full food provision at the event. We will offer free snacks and drinks, but suggest you bring your own lunch. If you need to pay for child-care to attend, let us know and we may be able to help with the costs.

Highlights:

Debates •Is socialist revolution possible? Is it desirable? Ruth Cashman, Workers' Liberty, debates Professor John Strawson • What should feminists say about sex work? Anita Downs debates Ruth Tweedale • Is China imperialist?
