A free online Ideas Workshop for Support Workers. Learn about and try out new tools to advance the financial skills of excluded women.

About this event

Are you a Support Worker working with excluded women? Do you think that advancing their financial skills could lead to their financial inclusion and thus their development and empowerment? Do you want to learn how you can play a key role in supporting them by gaining access to our training material developed by FLY-IN’s European Project partnership?

If you have answered yes to all these questions and are curious to explore the training materials available to you, join us for our online Ideas Workshop on Thursday 14th July 2022 at 10 AM BST.

The training material developed by the FLY-IN European Project partnership explores issues such as:

  • Tools and techniques for making smart financial decisions;
  • Setting and achieving financial goals;
  • Planning and developing monthly budgets effectively;
  • Using personal credit.

By attending the workshop you will find out how to access and use this material with the people you support at work! The workshop is also an opportunity for you to try out some of the tools and techniques in the training material. This way you will be able to evaluate their utility and provide feedback on what you think should be improved.

You will be exploring all these materials in a small group of 5-7 Support Workers that will be facilitated by our experienced Trainer and Coach Michele Lockwood-Edwards (B.A. Hons., P.G.C.E. Cantab., M.Sc. M.Sc, MCIPD, FHEA), who has over 20 years experience working in learning and development, action learning, coaching, mentoring and consultancy.
