About Christina Pagés

Christina Pagés, a flamenco dancer from Almuñécar, trained at the Conservatorio Profesional de Granada (Flamenco specialization) and the Conservatorio Superior de Danza de Málaga (Choreography and Performance). She is the co-founder of Jabera Studio in Málaga alongside Sandra Cisneros and currently tours with her shows La Jugada del Sacrificio, Bellatrices, and Soleá, which had a major tour in Mexico in 2022.

She has performed with professional companies such as Ballet Zambra and Ballet Todor Vangelov, joining their U.S. tour in 2017 with works like Turandot, La Traviata, and Carmen.

From a young age, Christina showed a strong creative drive. Her choreographic work Tocando el cielo was premiered in 2011 and presented in London in 2015. She has won multiple awards for choreography, including the XIX and XX Choreographic Competition with Al maestro Morente and Historia de una mina, as well as third prize for Best Performing Arts Show and Best Scenic Space at Málaga Crea 2019.

She also worked as Artistic Director and Choreographer at Buddha Bar Marrakech and currently performs with the award-winning company Silencio Danza in Las Furias, while regularly dancing at top flamenco venues across Andalucía and Madrid.

About Identidades

Identidades was born from the musical journey of two individuals united by a deep brotherhood and a shared passion for flamenco. While the art form is not native to their cultural origins, their commitment to preserving their own identities while embracing flamenco has shaped a unique creative voice—one that is enriched by influences from diverse musical traditions such as Hindustani, classical, and Latin American music.

As the project evolved, so did the ensemble. Along the way, they encountered kindred spirits—musicians with a shared curiosity and respect for flamenco—who joined at different points in the journey. These new members brought fresh ideas and perspectives that now resonate through their performances.

Identidades is not only a musical group but also a collaborative platform. Guest artists frequently join their performances, and the band has had the honour of working with top-level flamenco dancers from Spain. All the musicians involved are outstanding artists in their respective fields, each bringing their own depth and character to the stage.

The group has performed for some of the most respected flamenco dance schools in London and played at iconic venues that regularly host flamenco events. With every show, Identidades opens a window to new interpretations of flamenco—rooted in tradition, yet fearless in exploration.
