Description

*DUE TO SEVERE WEATHER AND FREEZING TEMPERATURES FORECAST FOR TONIGHT, WE HAVE DECIDED TO POSTPONE THE DROP-IN WORKSHOP SCHEDULED FOR TOMORROW (TUESDAY 12TH DECEMBER) UNTIL THE NEW YEAR.

THE DROP-IN WORKSHOP HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR MONDAY 8TH JANUARY 2018 BETWEEN 3PM AND 7PM.

WE HOPE YOU CAN ATTEND IN THE NEW YEAR - SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE CAUSED.*

We'd like to invite you to a drop-in workshop to discuss future projects in the Tame Valley Wetlands as we look to the next phase of the partnership (mid 2018 - 2030). Your ideas will help influence our future work and sustainability planning.

We are looking to continue projects and activities that have worked well and to deliver a portfolio of new projects. All ideas are welcome - however large or small, quick or long-term, simple or innovative - just as long as they fit under one of our four new themes:

Theme A - Delivering landscape-scale connectivity and habitat creation / management;
Theme B - Maximising opportunities from strategic planning and developments;
Theme C - Community engagement and ownership;
Theme D - Tourism: marketing and destination development.

We are looking for site-specific and landscape-wide projects to be delivered across the Tame Valley Wetlands' landscape, which covers areas of east Birmingham, North Solihull, North Warwickshire and Tamworth (e.g. Castle Vale, Castle Bromwich, Chelmsley Wood, Shard End, Water Orton, Curdworth, Kingsbury, the Whitacres, Lea Marston, Shustoke, Maxtoke, Hurley, Middleton, Coleshill, Dosthill & Two Gates, and Tamworth).

Projects can be located in towns/villages, on nature reserves and open spaces, in the wider countryside or along waterways, including the canal network and the rivers' Tame, Blythe, Cole, Bourne and Anker (and their tributaries).

Please come along to our drop-in workshop anytime between 3pm and 7pm on Monday 8th January 2018 to share your ideas so that they can be recorded, potentially developed into funding bids and included in the future action plan for the Tame Valley Wetlands Landscape Partnership.

Please book onto this event to give us an idea of numbers but feel free to attend at any time throughout the day! If you would like more information or can't make this date then please contact us as we are happy to meet with you at a more convenient time.

You can view/download our 'Developing our vision for the future' consultation document through the following link: http://www.tamevalleywetlands.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/advocacy-doc.pdf

We hope you can make it and look forward to discussing ideas with you soon!
