Event description
A presentation in Greek of Natalie Katsou’s new poetry collection Ειδωλολάτρες – Idolaters.

About this Event

Talks by Dr Liana Giannakopoulou, Cambridge University and poet Charilaos Nikolaidis, a discussion with Natalie Katsou and writer Haris Psarras and readings by theatre director Anastasia Revi and actor Konstantinos Chatzikypraios.

‘Idolaters’ (‘Ειδωλολάτρες’) is Natalie Katsou’s fourth poetry collection, published by Kapa Publications. Inspired by the paradox of Narcissus and the inherent desire for admiration and devotion to something perfect, the collection presents aspects of a fragmented self. The four units of the book follow the journey from an introvert mystery to acknowledging the Other and discovering reflections of the self in the world around us. Language, history, cross-cultural elements and physicality presented through strong imagery and narrative are inscribed in the human experience today.
