Join us for the annual IEEE Day celebration, at the University of Westminster, London for an evening of inaugural lectures, panel discussions, musical entertainment and raising a toast to our newly-elevated IEEE Fellows in Class of 2016 from UK & Ireland. Refreshments provided!

Provisional programme as follows:

• Welcome by Chair & Overview of Section’s ambitions, plans and services
• Keynote by Wen Cao from Aston: 'Technical and career development opportunities with the IEEE'
• Introduction to IEEE Chapters, Prof Izzet Kale from UoW
• Brief introduction by Student Activities, Young Professionals & Women in Engineering groups
• 'History of Technology: why it is important not to re-invent the
wheel' by Prof Tony Davies
• 'Mentoring opportunities for younger members with the IEEE'
by Prof Charles Turner 
• Panel Q&A discussion on 'The value of being an IEEE member'
• Refreshments, Entertainment and Networking
