This course is designed for experienced environmental management system (EMS) auditors, including internal and external auditors, and others with an interest in the effectiveness of environmental management systems.
This course is complementary to those who are familiar with auditing to the old standard (ISO 14001:2004), or have attended either the 'Making the Transition to ISO 14001:2015' course or an auditor course that was based upon the old standard.
Learners attending this course must have either completed the IEMA Making the Transition to ISO 14001:2015 course or be able to demonstrate a suitable knowledge of ISO 14001:2015.
- Describing the new key requirements of ISO 14001:2015.
- Explaining how organisations may respond to the new requirements.
- Identifying auditing principles and terminology.
- Developing, implementing and managing an internal audit programme for ISO 14001:2015.
- Planning to undertake an audit.
- Conducting audits to ISO 14001:2015 standards.
- Identifying competence needs for auditing to ISO 14001:2015
Qualification - Upon completion of the course, successful delegates will be awarded an IEMA certificate.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Wolverhampton Science Park is easily accessible by car from junction 2 of the M54 along the A449. There is adequate parking available free of charge at Wolverhampton Science Park.
Local bus services along the A449 include the 3,4, 32, 33, 54 which provide links to Wolverhampton city centre, bus station and train station.
Where can I stay overnight?
There are various places in and around Wolverhampton available for overnight accommodation. ESP recommends one of 2 Premier Inns (one located near junction 2 of the M54 and the other near to the train station) or using Airbnb for a variety of options.
