Event description

Description

After completing all of the preliminary stages of application for a Royal Charter, it’s now time to formalise our intentions. That means you get to have your say on our vital next step – petitioning for a Royal Charter. As an IEMA member you are invited to cast your important vote on a Special Resolution, which will permit IEMA to progress our Royal Charter application at an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM).

The EGM will be held at the impressive and historic location in Central London – Vintners’ Hall – at 6pm on 15 May 2018. The member vote is an important gateway point in the application process, so we encourage as many members as possible to attend and vote for us to petition for a Royal Charter.

The vote on the Special Resolution will be the only agenda item for the EGM, and voting is simple and accessible – there are no barriers to voting for members. If you wish to vote but can’t attend in person, you can appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf. Full details about attending in person and appointing a proxy can be found at www.iema.net/egm2018.

The EGM will be followed by a landmark evening event featuring leading-edge presentations from influential people, including IEMA Fellows M&S Director of Sustainable Business Mike Barry and former Chief Executive of the Environment Agency, Paul Leinster. As well as the opportunity to hear from these inspiring leaders first-hand, you’ll enjoy refreshments and networking opportunities with the IEMA team and other members.

We look forward to counting your vote on 15th May. Secure your place at this momentous event today.
