About this event

The Department of Computing at Goldsmiths, University of London presents If Games Are The Answer, What Was The Question? the 2025 showcase of students from the MA Games and Playful Design programme.

If Games Are The Answer, What Was The Question? Celebrates the process of game design and development, with students exploring how play can be used to express themes of the personal, the political and the outrageous.

Will you pry into the rich hidden world of an entomologist, or outsmart an AI in a card-based duel of wits? Can you avoid office politics as easily as you avert climate catastrophe, or pull off a daring heist in a literal cat and mouse game? Or leave your world behind to run away and join the circus with a high-flying ostrich?

With over 20 playable works including digital and tabletop games, as well as virtual reality and XR experiences, reserve your ticket now to join us in a celebration of experimental game design.
