An exhibition of creative research and artwork exploring the interactions between climate and urban spaces.
About this event
This September, we are delighted to belatedly celebrate the launch of Issue 5 of climate change magazine It’s Freezing in LA! with a new exhibition of creative climate research.
We’ve invited our friends at Climate + Cities to prepare an exhibition of their incredible work on the interactions between climate and urban spaces through creative research and projects.
For a few evenings only, we’re holding socially distant viewings of the project at Soho’s Koppel Gallery. Join us to see the works, buy a new issue of IFLA!, and keep your climate thinking moving. Evening tickets also include a free drink, provided by the Climate Cocktail Club.
The gallery is taking full COVID precautionary measures, which you can read more about below, along with details on tickets, timings and the teams involved.
What it is

Museums and gallery spaces such as the Koppel Project have been allowed to open since July the 4th. We have taken every effort to ensure guests will be able to attend the gallery in a safe, socially distant manner, have completed a full risk assessment and gallery management strategy in line with Association of Event Organisers guidance. Key measures include:
- Capacity is maintained at a level that allows social distancing to be adhered to - ticket numbers are limited to ensure 2m+ distancing for all individuals in the venue at all times. A one way system will be in place around the artworks, and additional breakout spaces and alternative exit routes are also available.
- Hand sanitiser will be available for all visitors, and masks are required in the gallery.
- Staff will be on hand to help manage distancing, and to clean surfaces and handles regularly.
- Temperature checks will be carried out on the door by security, and we and the Koppel Project will support contact tracing if necessary. Your details will not be used for any other purpose outside of communications around the event and contact tracing, in the event that this should be required.
- All tickets and materials include a summary of these precautions and links to our full risk assessment. Signage and site layout plans will be clearly visible to support guests to use the gallery safely and to assist them to find trained staff for support if necessary.

Sustainability statement
This is a zero waste exhibition, with all art materials reused, and no physical changes made to the space. We encourage all visitors to travel by bike or on foot where possible, and there are excellent public transport links to the venue.
