IGDA London - Lightning Talks Event

Turbo-charged knowledge sharing! As our final event of the year, we're proud to present an evening of lightning talks. We're putting together a list of literally dozens of speakers, who will each give a short talk on an interesting gamedev-related topic of their choosing. We have no idea what most of them are going to be about, and that's part of the fun.

We're very grateful to LSBU for hosting this event. It's going to take place in the Southwark Lecture Theatre, which is in the LSBU Hub at the address above. Security will have a list of attendees, so make sure you grab a ticket.

Can I give a short talk?

Would you like to give a five-or-so-minute talk on a gamedev-related topic? Drop us a line via the contact form on our website and we can chat about it! We're interested in hearing talks from a variety of disciplines, both technical and non-technical, so if you've got:

• An interesting story to share
• A cool creative or production process you've invented
• Some weird tips for a widely-used piece of software
• A retrospective on a game you released (or didn't release!)
• Or really anything that you think an audience of gamedevs might enjoy

Who are IGDA London?

The International Game Developers Association (IGDA) is the world's largest nonprofit membership organisation serving all individuals who create games. Each chapter around the world is volunteer-led. As the London Chapter, we organise regular accessible events under the IGDA banner, which gives this community an opportunity to unite and flourish. You do not need to be a member of the IGDA to attend most of these events, but we do encourage you to become a card carrying member so you don't miss out on member-only, special events each year and many of the benefits from becoming an IGDA member.
