About this event

We are delighted to welcome Louise Callin, Founder & CEO of ReelLife Conversations, to this PowerHour event with our Digital Health Special Interest Group, focused on innovations in care delivery. Louise will guide us through her inspiring journey of developing an app designed to spark meaningful reminiscence between people with dementia and their caregivers.

About the Speaker

Louise had a successful career in Financial Services Technology for nearly 30 years. The emotional strain of being a carer for her mum alongside a big day job was tough, and so she decided in Autumn 2024 to leave corporate life and take a few weeks off to think about how to forge a new path.

It didn’t take long before the concept of ReelLife Conversations emerged, and then became too big to ignore - and so Louise took on the huge challenge of setting up the business, getting investors behind her, building and launching the product.

Her personal mission is to enhance conversations and interactions between people with a dementia and their caregivers, friends and family by making reminiscing as easy as possible for all.

What to Expect

  • Discover the story behind ReelLife Conversations and how the app was created—from initial idea to real-world implementation.

  • Learn why these types of technology are needed in today’s care landscape and what gaps it addresses for people living with dementia and those who support them

  • Understand who can benefit from this innovation, including caregivers, family members, and care organisations

  • Hear practical advice from Louise on integrating new tools into care settings and building stronger, more responsive support systems

  • There will be opportunity to ask your questions in an interactive Q&A
