iHuman Postgraduate Welcome Lunch!
Tue 21 March 2017, 12:00 – 14:00 GMT
How we understand being ‘human’ differs between disciplines and has changed radically over time. We are living in an age marked by rapid growth in knowledge about the human body and brain, and new technologies with the potential to change them. How are these developments changing how we understand what it means to be human? iHuman is a new, exciting research institute at the University of Sheffield bringing together social sciences and humanities with psychological and biological sciences to understand what it means to be human like never before.
Come along and join us at our upcoming iHuman Postgraduate Welcome Lunch! This event takes the form of our standard monthly lunch club, which is open to all, but provides more of an opportunity to learn about iHuman and its research, and get involved if you want to. We offer an alternative lunch space in which you can engage in critical conversations with your peers over a packed lunch. It will be very informal, so bring your lunch and pop along.
Access: This event is being held in a flat-floored room in an accessible building that has a lift. There are accessible toilets very close to the room. Contact email@example.com if you have any questions about access or any accomodations we can make.
