Event description
A 90 minute webinar to give an overview of infant mental health and the importance of supporting the parent-infant relationship.

About this Event

We are delighted to be able to offer a series of bite-sized webinars to raise awareness of perinatal and infant mental health in Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale.

Each webinar is based on the Institute of Health Visiting's Perinatal Mental & Infant Mental Health Multi-Agency Awareness Training programme and will be facilitated by a member of HMR early attachment service and/or a PIMH champion from HMR health visiting.

By the end of this webinar practitioners will:

  1. appreciate the effects and potential for impact of perinatal mental health on the child across the life course
  2. understand the key concepts relating to infant mental health, appreciating what an infant needs from care givers to help them build strong and secure foundations for emotional wellbeing
  3. recognise how perinatal mental illness can affect the parent-child and wider family relationships

This series of webinars sits at level 1 (general knowledge and awareness) of the Greater Manchester perinatal infant mental health training matrix.

Please note this webinar is for professionals who work with families in Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale and is aimed at any professional who comes into contact with families during pregnancy or within the first 5 years of the child's life.

The webinar login details will be sent to you upon registration

We look forward to you joining us.
