Event description

Description

‘The houses the three pigs built are symbolic of man's progress in history: from a lean-to shack to a wooden house, finally to a house of solid brick’ (Bettelheim, 1975). As it stands, the fairy tale speaks of reward for hard work, labour and sound construction, learning from other’s mistakes and enterprise triumphing over adversity.

Taking inspiration from this narrative we invite you to create a series of large scale chimney stacks and associated components to construct an industrial landscape. With the presence of a disruptive ‘wolf’ you will be required to rebuild, make do and mend to reshape and repair the landscape using innovative materials and methods.

Drop in observation Thursday 1st Feb

Build sessions - 10am, 12:30pm, 2pm Thursday 1st Feb
