Illegal Money Lenders

Dave Monk, an officer with a government funded law enforcement agency called the England Illegal Money Lending Team will be presenting an awareness talk on illegal money lenders (loan sharks). In the talk Dave will describe:

• What makes them illegal.
• How they find the next person to lend money to.
• The tactics that loan sharks use to enforce payment.
• The journeys that borrowers can go on.
• How anyone can help to identify a potential borrower as part of a general conversation.
• What help is available and how to access it.
