Bradford Cathedral: Friday 18th March 2022
Doors Open: 6.30pm for access for tea/coffee/soft drinks
Start time: 7pm to 9pm
I am pleased to announce Illumination: An evening of Poetry, Music and Song, at the beautiful Bradford Cathedral for the Friday 18th March 2022.
My name is Mussarat Rahman, I am one of your hosts for the evening, alongside my colleague Siobhan Macmahon, of whom most are aware is a Leeds based Poet.
The evening has been planned in partnership with Bradford Cathedral and there will be tea and coffee/juice available in the cathedral from 6.30pm.
The doors of the Cathedral will open at 6.30pm for the event and start at 7pm and finish around 9pm.
We will be using the main part of the Cathedral with a PA System, mic and speakers.
The theme is open and people can bring what they feel is appropriate to read or perform etc.
There will be however, a number of surprise guest poets for the evening!
Each poet will have up to 5 mins to read, max of 3 poems or 5 mins to perform. This will change on duration of the day ( if less attendees) etc. Please send me your name and a few sentences about you- a short bio so you can be introduced to Mussaratrahman@gmail.com and to smacmahon038@gmail.com to compile a running order. Please put Poetry reader in heading.
As it's the Cathedral, we have decided we will not bother with Alcohol as there's no bar except for tea/coffee/water.
Please do invite your friends and family to come and listen and hear the lovely range of poets reading for the evening.
I would recommend wrapping up warm as it's a beautiful space, but may be slightly cold as it's quite an open space.
Please respect the space as we are just in for the night only.
