Illustrating London Fashion Week — Fashion Illustration 101, feat. SARANNYAAAA

Timed to coincide with London Fashion Week (18–22 Sept), this illustration workshop will teach you how to capture the energy of the runway through simple pencil and watercolour techniques.

In collaboration with Saraanyaaaa, who will debut with the collection The Tragedy Queen at LFW, we’ll take inspiration from couture looks shaped as living sculptures and translate them into expressive sketches on paper.

What you’ll learn:

1️⃣ Fundamentals of fashion figure drawing

2️⃣ How to sketch expressive, dynamic silhouettes and poses

3️⃣ Watercolour techniques to capture texture, movement, and runway energy

This workshop is perfect for beginners or those looking to brush up on their skills. All materials are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own favourite art supplies too. With live demos and step-by-step guidance from fashion illustrator Olivia Tse, you’ll leave with your very own runway-inspired artwork.

Bonus: All attendees will enjoy an exclusive 10% discount on products purchased at CASS Art on the day.

About your instructor:

About The Tragedy Queen by Saraanyaaaa:

This collection is born from a dialogue between heritage and selfhood, garments shaped as living sculptures, pleats folded like memory, silks flowing with shadow and light. Each look is more than attire: it is ritual, a fragment of ceremony, a vessel of emotion.

The same workshop is also avilable on 18th of September (4.30-6pm). Please check it out if this one is full.
