This programme is designed to enable existing senior managers, operating at a strategic level, to increase organisational and personal effectiveness. The programme focuses on improving critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness.

A key element of the course involves taking part in psychometric assessment (EBW or MBTI) to inform your own personal development. Managers also critically evaluate their organisational context and how this influences leadership behaviours and decision making.

By attending this ILM management and leadership training course managers will:

  • Evaluate the context of you & your organisation and how these impact on your leadership.
  • Examine your own and organisational leadership effectiveness through different thinking frameworks.
  • Conduct an investigation of strategic leadership and management importance, planning for further improvements.
  • Enhance your understanding of the effect of your own leadership behaviours on other people and on the organisation, and how to manage those behaviours to achieve organisational goals
  • Gain an internationally recognised qualification which is valued by employers
  • Participate in a learning network with other senior leaders.

What is involved?

The programme is interactive and challenging within a supportive environment. Action learning sets are used to explore real workplace scenarios. Assessment is through a work-based assignment, which allows the opportunity to apply knowledge in the workplace. This course requires significant self-study outside of the scheduled sessions.
