Celebrating difference and tackling and preventing homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying in schools
What is the event about and who is it for?
Organised by the Northamptonshire LGBT Partnership and Stonewall this free one-day conference aimed at teachers, educators and school staff will explore the issues surrounding homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying in schools.
The conference will offer practical ways of making primary and secondary schools happier, healthier and more inclusive and will include keynote speakers, workshops and breakout sessions, and free resources for delegates.
Workshops include: ‘Celebrating Difference’, ‘Working with LGBTQ Young People’, ‘Building Confidence in tackling homophobic, biphobic & transphobic bullying in schools’, ‘An introduction to trans issues’
This is the third “I’m Still Me!” conference and feedback from previous conferences includes:

Keynote Speaker - David Loyd-Hearn, Transformation Manager, Nene CCG. David's previous role was as the Commissioner for Children & Young People's Mental Health Services

Lunch is not included - please feel free to bring your own or there are many food outlets close to the conference venue.
