Event description

Description

From April 2017 private and voluntary sector organisations with more that 250 employees will be required to publish statutory calculations every year showing how large the pay gap is between their male and female employees. These results must be published on the employer’s own website and a government site. This means that the gender pay gap will be publicly available, including to customers, employees and potential future recruits.

There are strong links between business performance and women’s participation in the workforce and management.

Employers - steal a march on your competitors by providing the women working for you with the chance to come to our one-day workshop which will help them to:
● Develop a positive self image
● Gain personal and professional recognition
● Expand and create their network
Women - make the first move and come along to our workshop and take advantage of one of the twelve places available.

Projecting an appropriate image is significant in career advancement.
Image isn’t just about the clothes we wear but the whole impression we give every day in our interactions with customers and stakeholders.
This workshop looks at what is an appropriate image for a successful woman and how, once we have become visible to the people we want to influence, we can fulfil our goals and aspirations whilst holding true to our personal values. It explores the importance of having personal and professional networks in order to exchange information, resources and support.
