IMAGINARY TERRITORY

Get ready to embark on a journey through the IMAGINARY TERRITORY at Sub Tropical Garden! You are invited to participate in a community project examining how women from Central and South America explore their identities in the absence of territory and engage with nature in London. The workshop aims to foster connections between different worlds and explore interspecies relationships and identity by creating safe spaces within the Abya Yala community in London.

This event will transport you to a world of reflection, creativity and wellbeing, where imagination knows no bounds. Join us for a day filled with art and inspiration as we explore identity, the possibilities of inhabiting an imaginary territory and how we evoke a sense of land.

To participate, you must be at least 18 years old, self-identify as a female, and a South or Central American immigrant, have a personal interest in identity, storytelling, interspecies relationships, and wellbeing, and possess basic sewing skills, as well as enjoy sharing memories.

Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to stitch narratives of identity, transformation, and movement — connecting time, memory, and landscapes with nature in London. Reserve your spot on Eventbrite and complete the form at the provided link; your response will greatly help us—thank you, and I look forward to seeing you there!

Please follow the link to fill out the form.

*Some refreshments will be provided; please bring your glass or cup to help reduce waste. You are welcome to bring your water or a snack to share. It is recommended to bring a blanket as we will be sitting on the grass. This event is open to English and Spanish speakers.
