We are pleased to be offering a series of 4 imaging seminars. You can book each seminar individually, or receive a discount for booking all 4 (see Session 1 to book all 4)
The dates are as follows:
Session 3 - 10 October 2026 - Hip
This 1 day seminar is aimed at MSK professionals with an interest in the imaging of the knee. The seminar will be delivered by Chiropractic Radiologists and a Medical Anatomist.
Anatomy of the knee will be detailed using plain film x-ray, MRI and ultrasound imaging, backed up by a practical session in the on-site pro-section lab.
The radiologists will cover the clinical indications for each imaging modality, normal imaging series and measurements, reporting terminology and indicators of pathology and trauma.
The day will consist of lecture presentations, pro-section lab and image reading sessions in the digital learning lab.
Seminar aims, objctives and ;earning Outcomes
- Build a detailed understanding of anatomy and imaging of the knee
- Acquire knowledge of appropriate imaging terminology
- Develop an understanding of the relevance of imaging findings to symptoms and diseases in patients seeking care.
- Acquire adequate knowledge necessary for appropriate imaging referral of knee pain patients
Having completed this seminar you will be able to:
- Recognise normal anatomical appearance of the knee on x-ray and MRI
- Use and understand imaging terminology in relation to knee pathology
- Explain and integrate imaging findings to symptoms and diseases in knee patients
- Make appropriate referrals for a range of pathologies and trauma in the knee
Speakers
Jane Cook, DC, DACBR, MSc APD, MSc US (MSK)
Jane is a Senior Lecturer in Imaging at HSU and has taught undergraduate and post-graduate students for over 30 years. She lectures in Plain film, MRI and ultrasound interpretation and scanning for MSK pathology and trauma. Jane has a particular interest in diagnostic ultrasound of the upper and lower limb and has been part of the Clinical diagnostic team at HSU for the past 18 years.
Solomon Segal Doctor of Medicine; Senior Lecturer of Anatomy
Solomon is a medically trained anatomist and neuroanatomist. He leads the teaching of neuroanatomy and head and neck anatomy at Health Sciences University.
Dr. Inger Roug is a third generation chiropractor and a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1989. She subsequently earned her diplomate in radiology from Logan College of Chiropractic , Missouri.
Dr. Roug has lectured at Life University, Logan College of Chiropractic, Western States Chiropractic University and AECC-UC. She is currently living in Bournemouth. Dr. Roug has authored several peer-reviewed research and case report articles in chiropractic and biomedical literature.
In addition to classroom teaching, Inger worked from 2003-2015 for two MR Imaging centres in the Atlanta, Georgia, USA area, where her main case loads were MRI and CT imaging of the spine and extremities.
