Join us for a week long ImMerse - From Sea to Source Festival which will run from Saturday 20th September to Saturday 27th Setember. We will be exploring the riverscape of the River Annan and the ambitious projects aiming to tackle the challenge posed by the nature and climate emergency.
Combining environmental science with cultural heritage, the Festival invites participants to explore how human communities and natural systems have shaped each other over centuries.
The festival programme consists of seven events that follow the River Annan's journey from its mouth at the Solway Firth upstream to its source in the Moffat Hills. Each day reveals a different aspect of the river's story, from the saltmarsh ecosystems where fresh water meets the sea, to the ancient woodlands and healing wells of the upper catchment.
