EASTER HARVEST SUPPER CLUB

"Akara - onje, Akara - onje! " (come and eat Akara)...

Join us for an explosion of flavours at our special Easter Harvest feast with live African salsa dance. This is one for lovers of culture, new adventures, and friendships!

We will feast on sumptuous food inspired by fasting and feasting at Easter while being treated to stories of spring's harvest through sensual African salsa. Our long table feasts are a wonderful marriage of cuisines, inspired by my African upbringing and seasonal British produce, cooked with wondrous spices.

As Lenten comes from Old English, meaning the arrival of the spring season, you will welcome this time of new life and rebirth with bountiful fruits, vegetables, legumes. At my supper club, I share food stories, and the inspiration behind the menu, which encourages an out pour of stories from others at the table.

Eulanda Shead Osagiede, my dear friend who is an experienced dancer, an expert in travel, food tourism and migration and half of husband & wife duo behind Hey Dip Your Toes In

has created a beautiful dance piece celebrating the bountiful harvest and igniting rich african influence in food and music.

In Africa we believe, we are all equal especially when we come together to share food around the same table.

Growing up, my mother always made a big ceremony out of preparing Easter Sunday and Monday feasts for the neighbours and for the children in nearby orphanages. I always admired her as she cooked jollof rice in large cauldrons on blazing fire wood. This is the traditional way of cooking and the most efficient way she could cook large amounts, resulting in the most delicious smoked rice that has forever bewitched my senses.

With vegans and vegetarians in the family, the menu is a feast for all. I look forward to sharing this adventure with you all and creating new traditions through our shared love for great food.

Do book your tickets soon as limited spaces are available. You can also book as a group and for special celebrations. If this is sold out and you will like to be on the waiting list for the next event you can join here; SUBSCRIBE.

See you at the table.
