Frequently asked questions

Where does the tour start and end?

The tour starts in front of Alperton Station on the Piccadilly Line. The tour ends nearby, so you won’t be far from public transport or local shops if you want to explore more afterwards.

Is the tour suitable for children or families?

Yes! Families are very welcome. The tour is interactive and engaging for children aged 7 and above, especially with the dress-up opportunities and tastings. The tour is accessible with prams.

How much walking is involved, and is the route accessible?

The walk lasts around 3 hours, with plenty of stops to rest, explore, and taste. The pace is gentle. The route is mostly flat and suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs, although there may be some uneven pavement in places.

What should I wear or bring?

Please wear comfortable shoes, as we’ll be on our feet for most of the tour. Bring a bottle of water, and check the weather forecast – a light raincoat or umbrella might come in handy. The temple requires respectful and conservative dress.

Are the food tastings included in the price?

Yes! All tastings – snacks and sweets from local family-run businesses – are included in the ticket price. You won’t need to bring extra cash unless you'd like to shop or take home some of your favourite treats. Do let me know if you have any special requirements or allergies.
