Immunisation update for HCA’s
This course covers all the requirements for an immunisation update as set out in the National Minimum Standards and Core Curriculum for Immunisation Training.
Areas covered will therefore include:
• Current issues in immunisation relating to vaccines that HCA’s administer (including flu, COVID,
Shingles, and Pneumococcal) and also other injectable medicine such as B12 injections.
• Recent epidemiology of the diseases HCA’s commonly vaccinate for

• Changes to storage, ordering and administration

• Areas for improvement and adverse incidents as well as current ‘hot topics’ in the industry
