Join us to discover Impact at Brent, our local pathway within the LGA's Impact Graduate Programme. This session gives you a clear overview of the scheme, what graduates do, and how to submit a strong application.


What you'll learn from the session

  • Tips for completing a successful application
  • How the Situational Judgement Test (SJT) and assessment stages work


Also, hear from current graduates!

Get real stories about their projects, responsibilities and development. They'll share honest advice on what helped them succeed and what life is like on the programme.


Who can apply for the scheme?

You can apply to Brent's local scheme if you:

  • Have, or expect to acheive, a minimum 2:2 degree by summer 2026
  • Have the right to work in the UK for the full programme

And meet one of the following:

  • Currently live in Brent and have done so for two years or more
  • Have studied in Brent (secondary school, college or PRU)
  • Are a Brent care leaver
  • Are a Brent Council employee for one year or more

Programme benefits

  • Minimum of three placements across key services
  • Real responsibility on projects that impact the community
  • Fully funded CMI qualification
  • Senior mentor and strong peer network
  • Guaranteed 1 year fixed-term contract after completing the programme successfully


Applications close Tuesday 6 January 2026 at 12 noon.

You'll complete an initial application followed by a Situational Judgement Test (SJT). Local candidates who reach the final stage are guaranteed an interview with Brent. Full application details will be explained in the session.
