Description

Come and join impact investing's market leaders at the home of the London Symphony Orchestra on Old Street - for the Impact Investment Academy (IIA) 2019.

Are you looking for a flagship event where you can connect with other like-minded Financial Planners and Advisers who are on a journey to bring sustainable and impact investment to the core of their client proposition? Well this is it!

The IIA, now on its ninth event, is the largest gathering in the UK of around 200 financial planners, wealth managers, and asset managers, all focused on sustainable and impact investment, who come together to reboot their market intelligence and refresh their network in this fast-moving, stimulating sector.

It is an exciting and unique CPD forum and an inspiring day which will provide practical tools and deliverables to implement within your business.

AGENDA

The theme for this year’s Impact Investment Academy is around impact becoming core to a client’s portfolio – not just a peripheral esoteric option. This will include how to embed impact within a firm’s outlook and vision, procedures and discovery tools and within client’s portfolios.

You will hear about the following:

  • Top tier financial planners discussing whether impact portfolio as core is appropriate for most investors. Risks & challenges that advisers & investors have to face if they design core portfolio with impact investing. What is achievable.

  • Asset managers explaining how impact is core to their investment philosophy. How all investment decisions will increasingly take social & environmental considerations into account. Reporting pressures on disclosure of environmental & Social issues.

  • The practical elements and tools required to implement model impact portfolios from a working group of financial planning firms. How the working group developed methodology for the model portfolios. Decisions required along the way and challenges.

  • What this means for evidence-based advisory firms & how they can overcome it. What model impact portfolios means for them as an organization & their clients. How they intend to rollout & outlook for the future.

  • Discovering clients attitude to Impact. Why advisers need to be having the conversation with clients. Regulatory angle, how EU proposals look to integrate attitude to social & environmental issues into suitability. Why advisers should lead on this.

  • The importance of rigorous, transparent and credible impact reporting. The various elements and what's important, proportionate and meaningful from a client (end investor) perspective.

Full list of speakers and agenda to be revealed soon.
