The Young Foundation is one of the consortium partners of the Impact Management Programme, led by NPC and funded by the Access Foundation and Power to Change. The programme aims to help charities and social enterprises increase their social impact and diversify their income. It is a two year programme and will be co-designed by social organisations to ensure it is user-friendly and reflects the sector’s needs.
This workshop is hosted by The Young Foundation and designed for organisations specifically working in education.
Through our flagship education programme, the Young Academy, we have supported over 50 early-stage ventures to develop innovations which improve the educational outcomes of disadvantaged young people, as well as improve their impact management and access social investment. NPC has been supporting these early-stage organisations with their impact measurement and we recently published a guide that outlines how organisations working in the education sector can start or improve their data and evidence collection.
There is a disconnect between measuring impact, and actually using the insight gained to manage performance and make decisions. During this workshop we will explore ways to quantify, report on and articulate your organisation’s impact not only to demonstrate effectiveness, but also to improve the services and programmes being delivered.
There will also be an introduction to the Impact Management Programme and ways organisations can get involved including:
Peer to peer support
Opportunity to co-design online resources
What is Impact Management? “An organisation’s ability to quantify, report on, increase and ‘get paid for’ their impact. It means integrating impact reporting into strategy and performance management and regularly analysing and responding to impact data—using it to change and improve programmes and services.”
Who should attend? This session is aimed at charities or social enterprises focusing on education and interested in improving their impact management processes and accessing social finance.
An agenda will be circulated to attending participants nearer the time. Please note the workshop will start with a light lunch at 12:00 and end by 17:00.
