This course will focus on the impact of someone else's abusive relationship e.g. parent or carer on children and young people.

About this event

90% of children are aware of Domestic Abuse in the home., however, some parents feel they are not impacted at all. Children and young people develop survival skills to stay safe in their abusive surroundings.

Topics covered during this course include:

  • How children are affected by domestic abuse
  • How to recognise and respond to the signs of abuse
  • Domestic Abuse Act 2021 acknowledging that children are victims in their own right
  • the importance of multi-agency working

It is recommended that delegates already have a basic level of understanding of domestic abuse.

These sessions are open to any business or organisation within Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire only
