Impact of Domestic and Sexual Abuse on Children, Young People and Families

A training day aimed at local practioners working with children, young people and families that may have experienced domestic and/or sexual abuse.
The Learning outcomes are:
- To identify and increase understanding of the short term effects of domestic and sexual abuse on children and young people.
- To identify and increase understanding of the long term effects of domestic and sexual abuse on children and young people.
- To increase understanding of how a perpetrator uses children to control their victim and how this can affect the victim’s parenting abilities.
- To increase understanding of the dynamics of abusive relationships between young people.
