Event Details

Bridge2Busines in colloboration with Future X is proud to present a series of Impact Summit Events across FE Colleges in Scotland.

The Edinburgh & Lothians event invites student from Edinburgh College, West Lothian College, Fife College and Borders College to come together and will focus on making an impact in thei communities through business.

The Edinburgh and Lothians Fringe will highlight The People Behind the Purpose by introducing students to some of Edinburgh’s brightest social entrepreneurs; Gary Young, Founder of The Mindful Enterprise and Martin Murphy AKA The Football Barber will both tell of their journeys to setup their social enterprises and what purpose driven business means to them.

Students attending the event will be able to take part in progressive, purpose driven workshops from Bridge 2 Business and Edinburgh Over Plastic.

The “What Impact Do I Want to Make” workshop from Bridge 2 Business will help students to explore what social and environmental issues matter most to them and begin them on the journey of turning passion into social action.

Edinburgh Over Plastic will then take students through an interactive workshop on “Redesigning plastic packaging for the circular economy” that will take students through the design process and give them tools to improve products that already exist in the market but are damaging the enviroment.

The Edinburgh and Lothians Impact Summit Fringe is a perfect event for any student, young person or entrepreneur who is truly passionate about the issues affecting their community and is driven to create positive social and environmental change.
