💊 The IMPEDE-PKD trial is testing whether the diabetes drug metformin can help slow kidney damage in people with ADPKD. The UK team will also study chronic pain in ADPKD—how people manage it now, and whether metformin can help reduce it.

🌍 This global study aims to recruit 1,174 people, including 300 from the UK.

📅 UK recruitment starts in Autumn 2025, led by Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and the University of East Anglia.
