Implant Training for Dental Nurses

This one-day course is for new and experienced implant nurses who wish to build their skills, knowledge and confidence in assisting with surgery and the restorative phases of implant treatment.
Practical sessions include asepsis, gowning and draping, prosthetic components and cleaning of instrumentation.

- Draping and gowning
- Care and maintenance of equipment
- Postoperative care
- Hands-on placement of implant into dummy jaw
The course is designed to increase and update nurses’ understanding and knowledge of implantology. Following attendance, nurses should be able to assist their dentist throughout any implant procedure with a greater knowledge and confidence, provide appropriate patient management and care and gain a further knowledge of asepsis techniques and instrument care and sterilization.
There will also be the opportunity, if required to return at a later date and shadow one of the team at Bath Spa Dentistry at no extra charge.
