Event description
Workshops for health researchers and healthcare professionals working in London.

About this Event

Co-designed and co-delivered by trained members of the Patient and Public Advisory Group, the workshops will allow researchers to discuss specific challenges in their own studies with experienced service users.

Please note: The workshop is designed for researchers looking to carry out health research. If you are a patient interested in training please contact our PPI team at ppi@rdslondon.co.uk who can help you.

Research Design Service (RDS) London delivers these workshops in partnership with NIHR Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College London.

The workshop covers:

  • An overview of what effective PPI is and is not in the context of research
  • How patients and the public can be involved at each stage of the research cycle
  • Practical planning for effective PPI
  • Clarification on what resources and support structures exist in the RDS and BRC.
