The benefits of safeguarding supervision are widely recognised. Effective supervision builds capacity, fosters a culture of safeguarding and directly contributes to whole-school improvement.

‘Implementing Supervision in Schools’ training is tailored and responsive to the needs of safeguarding and pastoral staff working in education. We will examine the role of supervision and how it can work for schools, practically apply learning so that you feel confident in implementing supervision and create an action plan to roll out supervision in your school. By the end of the course, you will:

• understand what ‘supervision’ is and why it is important for those working in schools.

• understand key theory and research behind ‘reflective supervision’.

• have considered how the supervision process works.

• have had the opportunity to practise supervision in small groups.

• have considered some of the barriers to implementing and conducting successful supervision.

• have a clear understanding of how to implement supervision in your school.

This course costs £70 per person. An invoice will be sent to your school once you have attended.
