Event description

Description

Driver Youth Trust invites you to join us at Aureus School for the first in a series of six workshops exploring the connections between literacy and SEND. Together we will be highlighting key issues in research, in leadership and in the classroom in a series of lively, participatory workshops that enable practitioners to both deepen their professional knowledge and develop their professional networks in a relaxed environment.

This workshop aims to ensure all teachers can accommodate all learners using the Graduated Approach.

During the workshop we will ask:

  1. How do you know if a child is not accessing the curriculum?
  2. What do you do?
  3. Who do you ask if you’re stuck?
  4. Where can you find information about a child?
  5. What data is there and in what form?

Anyone attending this workshop will leave with a deeper understanding of what the Graduated Approach is, and how it can be implemented in school. There will be opportunities to discuss ideas and share good practice.

This workshop is suitable for anyone working in schools, from TAs to teachers and leaders, from KS1-KS5.

There will be time for networking during this workshop.

If you are interested in sharing your experiences and keeping up to date with recommended practice, join Nancy Gedge, our consultant teacher and author of the book Inclusion for Primary School Teachers, at Aureus School on the 16th January 2018 at 13:30.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
