About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

203 countries. A decade of travel. Not a single plane in sight.

Join us for an extraordinary evening with Thor Pedersen talking about his debut book Impossible Journey and his adventure to be the first person to visit every country on Earth without ever stepping on a plane.

When Thor set out on what he thought would be a four-year journey, he never expected to spend over a decade on the road. From sleeping rough to dining with billionaires, from battling illness to crossing oceans on cargo ships—Impossible Journey is the true story of a man who pushed the boundaries of travel, endurance, and the human spirit.

Thor’s epic voyage took him through war zones, across deserts and mountains, and into the hearts and homes of people in every corner of the world. At one point, he had to take an 11,919 km detour through seven countries under armed escort—all because of a visa rejection. His tale is one of persistence, curiosity, and the ultimate belief in global human connection.

Whether you're an adventurer, a travel lover, or simply someone who loves an incredible true story, this is an evening you won't want to miss.
