Improv is the art of making things up . We do it every day without realising it . By paying attention to the act of improvising , through listening , supporting and responding to each other we can create sketches , scenes and even dramatic plays on the fly .

Improv is a joyful pursuit that can help participants to :

  • Develop confidence
  • Improve public speaking skills
  • Build relationships and friendships
  • Improve social skills
  • Create comedic moments
  • Find joy in little moments
  • Make creative connections
  • Enhance your wellbeing through laughter and play

and many more ....

Jen Kenny has been improvising for 11 years and wants to share her love of the artform with the community . She has trained with many great teachers and has performed with several teams including Tiny Stories, Box of Frogs , The Same Faces, Boss Birds and in her own duo Improvoke . She has guested with many teams across the UK and is a member of the award winning children's show The Extraordinary Time-Travelling Adventures of Baron Munchausen.

Please ensure that you read the code of conduct before purchasing your ticket .

By purchasing the ticket you are agreeing to these conditions . Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions .

Code of conduct

We want improv to be fun, enjoyable and life enhancing for all. We have created a code of conduct (with thanks to established organisations such as Hoopla, The Nursery and Liverpool Comedy Improv). This enables everyone to know what is acceptable and what to do if a problem arises.

Improv is for all regardless of background and by having a shared understanding we can work together to create a diverse, inclusive and enjoyable atmosphere at our classes

We do not tolerate harassment of any kind

• Support each other, on stage and off stage.

• Work together as a team.

• Listen to your scene partner.

• Collaborate with your scene partner unless it is unsafe or demeaning to do so.

• Respect physical boundaries and don’t do anything physically dangerous to yourself or your scene partner.

• Respect sexual boundaries, on and off stage.

• Improvise from a place of fun, love, kindness and respect for your fellow improvisers and audience.

• Safety, trust and support is always more important than the temporary existence of an improv scene. So if in doubt, stop the scene, and you won’t be made to feel bad for doing so.

• Risky subject matter in scenes is to be treated with full emotional intelligence, and your teacher is there to help you with this.

• Help us to create an environment free from harassment of any kind, on and off stage.

We ask our students, teachers and performers to respect this at all times.

Should you have a concern please speak to the session leader and know that you will be treated with respect and fairly.

If you feel that there is anything missing from this code of conduct then please let us know.

Cancellation policy

If less than 3 attendees book by the day prior to the class then the class may be cancelled . We will aim to give you 24 hours notice if we need to cancel any workshop and a refund will be issued .
